Agape Volunteers are a non-profit organization, set up by ex-volunteers who wanted to make sure volunteers were spending their time and energy on projects that really help those people in need. We also aim to reduce large volunteer fees that are not passed on to those who require help.
We recruit volunteers who wish to travel to Africa to help people. We offer a variety of different placements in four different regions of Africa, each with a distinct experience. No matter where you go, all of our placements are geared towards actually making a difference, not providing a fun, fake and ultimately disappointing experience to volunteers. If you volunteer with Agape, you guaranteed two things: hard work and a life changing trip.
A small proportion of volunteering fees are used to support the projects that our volunteers work in, and this is how we sustain our good work in the community. Despite this, Agape Volunteers still provides one of the most affordable ways to volunteer anywhere in Africa, and there are no registration fees. The amount you pay is the amount that it costs us to support you in the country, and to fund the project that you are working on.
Agape Volunteers currently operates in Kenya, Masai-land, Ghana and Tanzania, although we have plans to expand this within the next six months. Within each country there is a choice of up to six different programmes, including teaching, orphanage work, medical, HIV/AIDS work, sports, conservation and music placements. All our programmes range between 1 week and 1 year. You can start and finish whenever you want and there are no registration fees whatsoever.
