typical day What's it like

A typical day on this gap year project

Each day (Monday to Friday), you would spend 90 minutes at each of the three schools. Working solo or with another volunteer, you can coach a sport of your choice to enthusiastic young people. Working with children aged 10-13, you will see the impact you have as you teach them a new sport or improve their existing skills. As sports are not taught within schools, this programme offers an opportunity for children to learn new skills, exercise and compete in friendly tournaments. Their energy and enthusiasm will make it easy to work alongside them to enjoy the sport together. Previous volunteers have coached football, swimming, netball and basketball, among others, so there is no set plan you have to follow. Just get in touch if you would like to participate and join the team to coach in South Africa.
