typical day A Typical Day in the Job

Your job will require ensuring the safety of customers whilst providing excellent customer service. You will be required to present information to groups, from memory and with confidence. You must be able to look after groups of customers, putting their safety and needs first. You will also need to be comfortable working outdoors and at height.

You need to be a natural communicator who has a natural affinity with people and an enthusiastic attitude. You must be responsible & conscientious and prepared to undertake a wide array of training to optimise the safety of the experience for the customer.


ideal candidate Who are we looking for?

Our Sites & Job Roles:
• ‘Up at the O2’ – Our flagship operation! A guided climb experience across the roof of the O2 Arena. Based at the O2 Arena, North Greenwich.
o Casual Climb Guides, predominately weekends with fixed term contract opportunities (£12 / hr)
o No experience required; full training provided and flexible learning options available!

• ‘ArcelorMittal Orbit Abseil & Controlled Rate Descent’ – Our exhilarating 80m freefall at the Olympic Park, Stratford.
o Casual Ground Crew Operators (£11 / hr)
o Casual Platform Operators (Qualifications Required) (£13 / hr)
o Casual Duty Managers (Qualifications Required) (£16 / hr)

• ‘BAi360' – The exciting British Airways i360 131m Controlled Rate Descent. Based in Brighton.
o Casual Ground Crew Operators (£11 / hr)
o Casual Platform Operators (Qualifications Required) (£13 / hr)
o Casual Duty Managers (Qualifications Required) (£16 / hr)


Essential: You must be interested in tourism and adventure activities, whether new to the industry or a seasoned professional we have a vast range of work opportunities to either launch or boost your outdoor career.

Desirable: A suitable outdoor First-Aid qualification as well as an in-date basic DBS check. (If you do not hold these please check the job description for more details as we can provide them for you!). A technical outdoor qualification: SPA, CWA (A) or IRATA – role dependent as stated above and previous outdoor guiding / customer service experience.

Remuneration: All pay rates stated above + holiday pay + training expense + uniform

Reporting To: Operations Manager / Deputy Manager

Hours of Work: Part-time / Casual Predominately Weekend (Mainly Saturday) with Fixed Term summer contract opportunities.
