typical day
Course Description
a typical day on this gap project

What a typical day looks like is entirely up to you!

You might spend the day out on safari game drives spotting the Big 5. Perhaps you'll marvel at the thundering cascades of Victoria Falls or kayak on the Zambezi River. Or maybe you'll visit a tea plantation, explore fast-growing capital cities or relax on tropical beaches.

If you choose to volunteer, a typical day will depend on the type of volunteer project you choose. You could be assisting at a school in Cape Town or arranging sports development training in Eswatini. Perhaps you'd rather get your hands dirty on a construction project on the island of Zanzibar or join a medical placement in Namibia. And of course, in Africa, there are countless opportunities to work with wildlife conservation, from wild cats to rhinos, and all types of sea creature with marine conservation.

You could also learn to dive in Africa or tackle Mount Kilimanjaro on a trekking expedition.

We're here to create your dream gap year, so a typical day looks however you want it to look! Let us know what you want to achieve and experience on your gap year and we'll recommend the best options.
