Here at The Bear Grylls Survival Academy we offer a variety of courses at different extremity levels and for all audiences from kids to outdoor enthusiasts to hardcore adventurers. With courses popping up all over the globe we need to recruit freelance instructors to work as a part of the team. We have many success stories of guys and girls coming through the instructors academy who are now working directly with Bear's team on TV shoots, recces and stunts. Our team of instructors are regularly being sent around the world taking training sessions on Bear's unique survival techniques to new and potential partners and assuring quality control.

typical day
The course description
a typical day on this gap project

The Initial BGSA Instructors course teaches everything from self-protection, stalking and survival techniques to foraging, astro-navigation and river crossings ensuring a thorough knowledge of all that Bear Grylls Survival Academy (BGSA) encompasses. As continued professional development, there will be an introduction to wilderness First Aid, maintenance and care of technical climbing and safety equipment, the opportunity to gain further outdoor qualifications in water safety (R3), navigation (NNAS) and the first step to a professional teaching qualification (EATS). Upon completion of the course and following successful assessment, candidates will be able to work on survival courses throughout the UK and overseas, corporate training events and even work assisting to scout and recce locations for new courses and events. A typical day on a course would be fast, dynamic, challenging and above all, fun. We want to give participants an amazing insight in to the world of Bear Grylls, get people back outside and let them have an adventure. As Bear says, “Are you the sort of person who can turn around when you have nothing left, and find that little bit extra inside you to keep going?” These are the type of instructors we are after.
