At Gapforce we work with communities to provide help and support in many different forms. Because of this we have divided our programs into the following distinct groups:

Our GreenFORCE programs concentrate on conservation and ecological work. You will find everything from marine protection schemes to wildlife and community protection. TrekFORCE offers expeditions and leadership courses for the truly adventurous gap year. MedFORCE progams provide medical students a unique experience through specialist remote and expedition training. OzFORCE actually covers our Austalian, Fijian and South East Asian programs, and finally SkiFORCE is a specialist ski and snowboard instructor program with guaranteed ski jobs.

Your ideal tropical adventure. Become a Marine Conservation Volunteer in Costa Rica, full training included. Learn to scuba dive in one of the world’s most stunning settings, before volunteering at our Sea Turtle conservation project!

Marine Conservation Volunteers are needed now to work with our Costa Rican NGO, to help protect their marine life. We include survival and marine conservation training plus you gain three internationally recognised PADI qualifications up to and including Advanced Diver. Manta rays, dolphins, sea turtles,sharks and even whales are just some of the marine wildlife you may see on your marine adventure!

Once dive qualified,you’ll head further along the coast to our much needed sea turtle conservation project. Here you can expect to get very hands on, as you join our patrol boat in the Pacific Ocean, to help the marine scientists better protect this amazing coast line.
