Fellowship Afloat Charitable Trust Adventure Jobs

Working for Fellowship Afloat Charitable Trust

Your next adventure starts here! Fellowship Afloat Charitable Trust (FACT) offer outdoor adventure activities in a residential setting at Tollesbury, on the Essex coast. Our guest accommodation is on a converted lightvessel, Trinity; whilst the surrounding salt marsh and Blackwater Estuary provide the beautiful backdrop to our activities. Sailing, powerboating, team building games, high ropes, archery and kayaking are just some of what we have to offer for your next adventure. Underpinning all this is FACT's deep commitment to its founding mission: to provide education, adventure and relaxation in the context of a lively, supportive Christian community. Visitors range from school residential trips during the week, to youth groups and uniformed organisations on the weekend, to individual courses for sailing, powerboating or multi-activity adventure weeks. Typically the centre is available to book throughout the week and weekends between March and October, with weekends in November and February.

Why are Fellowship Afloat Charitable Trust so good to work for?

Whatever role you may find yourself in, you'll be part of a team with a purpose: serving our guests in the context of the Christian faith. We welcome applications from anyone who, wants to share their faith as part of their job; is keen to serve in a Christian community and; isn't afraid of a challenge. Full training is provided for our gap year posts. For those joining as a centre instructor, by the end of your year you will have gained qualifications in sailing, powerboating, kayaking, high ropes, archery and First Aid. That's not to mention the fun you will have had along the way, and the friends you'll have gained. Accommodation and board are part of the package, alongside essential kit and access to trade suppliers. Alongside that, it's a year of discipleship, an opportunity to explore and deepen your Christian faith and living testimony, with times to share just what God means to you.
