Sports teaching and coaching

Most of us only get the chance to indulge in our favourite sports in our free time. But would not it be great if we could play football, go mountain biking or surf some great beaches whenever we liked, rather than squeezing it in to an evening, or at the weekend after a long tiring week at work. Well as part of your gap year there is the chance to take part and get involved in any number of sporting activities. You may wish to volunteer as a sports coach, teaching in disadvantaged local communities to give youngsters sporting skills and experience that we take for granted at home. You may prefer to spend your time on a training course that leads to a professional instructor qualification in sports such as skiing, mountain biking or scuba diving. Or it may be that you just get the opportunity to improve your own sporting abilities with experiences like learning to sail in Australia or horse riding in Argentina.
