Summer Dinghy Instructor Training

We don't just offer certification and training, as a youth maritime charity, we can offer that something extra. We really look after our young people. Our careers students benefit from 1:1 mentoring, access to our careers network, realistic careers advice and help with CVs. We have a fantastic fleet, a waterfront 4-acre campus, inspirational instructors, and great facilities.

What's it like

A typical day on this gap year project

Our 5-week course has been specifically designed to give you the skills, confidence, and qualifications you need to work as a Dinghy Instructor. This is a great way to add a new skill to your CV and gives you the opportunity to earn money as an RYA instructor, both in the UK and across the globe - the ideal gap year.

You will live and eat on-site and enjoy the camaraderie that comes with the campus lifestyle.

It is desirable to have at least a minimum of one week’s recent dinghy experience.

What we can offer you

UKSA’s Summer Dinghy Instructor Training course is all-inclusive with no hidden extras. Course fees include all training, food and accommodation, examinations, certification, logbooks and internet access for the full duration of the course.

Our careers students benefit from mentoring, access to our careers network, realistic careers advice and help with CVs. While on site you can take advantage of our indoor heated swimming pool, bar and study areas.
