The job description
a typical day on this gap project

• Cleaning and sanitising kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas

• Washing all dishes, pots, pans and other kitchenware to a high standard

• Assisting with and putting away food deliveries in an organised manner

• Adhering to all health and safety and food hygiene regulations at all times

• Occasional assistance with food preparation under supervision may be required

Please note: this position may involve standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy objects. Training will be provided for specific tasks and responsibilities

• Previous experience working in a culinary or food service environment is preferred but not required
• Ability to handle and prepare food safely and hygienically; training will be provided if you do not hold the current necessary food hygiene certification
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
