A typical day on this gap year project

A typical day on our Belize expedition will likely involve SCUBA diving on the vibrant reefs within the Bacalar Chico Marine Reserve, studying fish and coral species identification with guidance from Blue Ventures field scientists, taking a kayak out for a paddle, snorkelling on the reefs nearby to the island, or simply enjoying some down-time in your hammock.

What we can offer you

Accommodation (beachfront cabins at dive camp), three meals a day plus tea and coffee, daily diving, marine science training plus use of BCD, regulators, cylinders and weights. Boat travel between San Pedro and our dive camp.
