UKSA's Workboat Deckhand Training Course is designed for those ready to take on the challenges of workboats. The course equips you with essential deck skills, safety training, and practical experience that will make you an asset in any maritime role.
With training in everything from firefighting and first aid to lifting operations and security awareness, this course prepares you for dual deck/engineer roles, opening doors to exciting opportunities across the maritime industry.
This all-inclusive course gives you the knowledge, confidence, and practical ability to begin working immediately on tugboats, pilot boats, transfer vessels, and more.
Course overview:

the requirements for this course
Deckhands are typically required to work long hours and must be physically fit and able. You must be energetic and enthusiastic with an ability to work to a high standard in all tasks.
All seafarers must have an ENG1 seafarer medical fitness certificate to work at sea
