We undertake a variety of practical projects from building through medical care to teaching. We have our own purpose built centre on the banks of Lake Victoria and we run safari's to the world famous Serengeti National Park. We are well organised, resourced and established in our area of operations. The feedback we get from all of our teams is that they loved being part of a close team, and that they quickly established friendships with local villagers. They found the practical projects we undertake very rewarding to be a part of and felt that they were building on the success of other teams.
Course Description
a typical day on this gap project
We all have breakfast at 7.30am in our house in Musoma.
We have a brief reflection at 8.00am on what we are learning from the trip or on an issue that someone thinks is important.
Head off to the projects at 8.30am in our Landrovers.
Lunch is in the Anglican Restaurant where we catch up with other people involved in projects. It's local African food which is tasty.
We head back out into the villages at about 2.30pm and work until 6.00 pm or so.
People shower and change for dinner which is cooked by our own cooks. It's a range of well known European dishes. We have a de-brief around the dinner table. Some people say a few prayers for the things we are concerned about. Then the rest of the evening is free to relax in.

However we require reasonably good health and 2 references.
